RESTAURANTS IN MEGEVE
A GASTRONOMIC HOLIDAY

A chalet rental in Megève guarantees a varied and star-studded gastronomic experience. A historic Alpine resort renowned for its proximity to Geneva airport, huge ski area and breathtaking views of the Mont-Blanc massif, the village of Megève has quickly carved out a place for itself as a leading destination for the art of mountain living. Luxury hotels and chalet rentals have sprung up rapidly in and around the village. All of which has attracted renowned chefs and culinary talent to the village’s restaurants and serviced chalets.

A Tailor-Made, Exclusive Culinary Adventure just a Stone’s Throw from your Megève Chalet Rental

Once you’ve settled comfortably into your winter sports residence, you’ll have plenty of time to choose your restaurants from the plethora and variety on offer. Megève was for many years home to chef Marc Veyrat, who achieved great heights with his three Michelin stars at “La Table de mon Père”. The good news is that in 2024, he has moved back to his beloved village to offer his “High Definition” cuisine once again. This new cosy restaurant, which can accommodate up to 18 guests in a chalet, offers spectacular mountain cuisine providing an immersive experience at the heart of the chef’s culinary universe. Ideally located within easy reach of the centre of Megève and the most beautiful chalet rentals, the restaurant is easily accessible from both Le Jaillet (Chalet Mont-Blanc, Chalet Ultima, Chalet Cascade, Chalet Thanasis) and Mont d’Arbois (Chalet Aspen, Chalet Jaguar, Chalet Snow Cat, Chalet Sun Arbois, etc.). After ten or so years at Le 1920, where he was awarded two Michelin stars in 2016, chef Julien Gatillon took the plunge and, in 2020, opened Nous with his partner Sonia Torland. A bold and unique concept: a single reservation per service, which makes this an exclusive experience, nestling in a chalet high above the village, and an opportunity to put together a made-to-measure menu with the chef. Fine dining, tailored to your taste.

Experience a Michelin-starred Restaurant during your Chalet Rental Stay in Megève

Like Courchevel, Megève is home to several Michelin-starred restaurants. On the heights of Mont d’Arbois, Megève’s most popular hamlet, the Four Seasons hotel has entrusted its gastronomic table to the teams of Anne-Sophie Pic, who swiftly acquired a star with her ‘Dame de Pic – 1920’. The hotel also offers a Japanese restaurant, Kaïto, as well as the Edmond bar. The hotel is located at the foot of the Mont d’Arbois ski slopes, so you can ski straight to all these addresses.

In the hamlet of Le Leutaz, away from the beating heart of the village, Emmanuel Renaut, who has three Michelin stars with his restaurant “Flocons de sel”, brings out the best in local Alpine produce. People come from far and wide to discover the signature dishes of this great chef, who recently took over “Le Prieuré” on the Place de l’Eglise and turned it into a cosy bistrot. On the other side of the Arly, in the foothills of Le Jaillet massif, “La Table de l’Alpaga”, the gourmet restaurant of the hotel of the same name, completes the trio of Michelin-starred restaurants in Megève: young chef Alexandre Baule obtained a star there in 2023, with a culinary approach that places great emphasis on plants.

The range of culinary delights on offer here is extensive, and in recent years many groups have chosen the resort as a base for their development. The “Hibou Blanc”, “Le Café” and “Le Bistrot de Megève” are just some of the chic brasseries in the village centre. Asian cuisine is well represented at chef Julien Gatillon’s Japanese counter Anata, Kinugawa and Le Tigrr, while establishments such as Le Saint Nicolas and Vous offer a truly gastronomic menu. The reputation of Megève’s culinary scene is also built on the profusion of lively restaurants where you can enjoy a wild night out: “La Ferme Saint Amour”, “Le Piaf”, “Indie Mountain” and “Le Tigrr” have all earned excellent reputations in this respect. Finally, Savoyard cuisine and its famous fondues, raclettes, tartiflettes and other regional dishes are on offer in the village centre with “Le Relais”, “Le Vieux Megève”, an authentic restaurant that has been around for many years, and “Le Torrent”.
