APRES-SKI AND NIGHT LIFE
IN MEGEVE

Megève, a historic village with pedestrian streets and a pioneering resort in the French Alps, quickly established itself as an exclusive destination for lovers of skiing, luxury and unspoilt nature (find out more about Megève). While its ski area, hotels, rental accommodation and infrastructure were being developed from the 1930s onwards, the resort, just a stone’s throw from the Mont-Blanc massif, quickly became a chic and relaxed destination for celebrities of all kinds. From the 1960s onwards, stars flocked to the village to indulge in the pleasures of skiing, of course, but also to sample the pleasures of the nightlife and après-ski in Megève, which soon became famous worldwide. Some establishments, such as the famous Cinq Rues, have survived the decades, while the many discotheques of yesteryear have now given way to party restaurants. From clubbing on the dance floor to wild nights and musical aperitifs and dinners, there’s a host of events on offer, all of which are in tune with the times.

Your Megève Chalet Rental is just a Stone’s Throw from the Centre and its Lively Nightlife

With most of the nightlife centred in and around the heart of the village, many of our luxury chalet rentals are just minutes away. Whether you’re staying in Chalet Deer, Chalet Sisters, Chalet Bouvier, Chalet Eraldo or Chalet Dana, all of which are within easy reach of the centre, you can even reach the vibrant heart of the village on foot. This has seen the opening of many new restaurants and festive establishments in recent years (find out more about gastronomy in Megève). Several groups have set up shop in the resort and revolutionised the Megève nightlife scene. Now running six establishments in the village, the Annie Famose group has brought to Megève the trademark that made its reputation in Saint-Tropez and elsewhere: restaurants with carefully crafted menus, of course, but above all places where, as the evening progresses, the decibels rise, and the service becomes a spectacular show. In high season, a very select clientele flock to La Ferme Saint-Amour (also in Courchevel), Le Café and Le Chacha, venues for winter nights, festive dinners and unforgettable evenings. During the Christmas and New Year holidays, getting a table can sometimes be a feat, but our concierge service, with its local roots and twenty years of experience, works miracles in this area. Nearby, within a radius of just a few hundred metres, you can dine and feast at Indie Mountain (menu created by Diego Allary, former Top Chef contestant), dive headlong into wild nights at Tigrr (Indochinese menu), and eat like a king at ‘Piaf’. Like Bambini, Piaf is part of the Paris Society group (Paris, Los Angeles, Dubai, Saint-Tropez, Val d’Isère), which has made festive French hospitality its trademark.

Chic and Relaxed Après-Ski in Megève’s Bars

Fancy a drink in the village before returning to the luxury of your Megève chalet, where your private chef will have prepared a tailor-made meal for you? Among the many bars in the village, “Le S”, the rooftop of the “Grand Soleil d’Or” and the comfortable lobby of the “Lodge Park” are ideal for aperitifs from the moment you return from the slopes until the end of the evening. “Chacha” and “5 rues” are also great places to enjoy a drink to live music, with both venues regularly offering live concerts during aperitifs.

Clubbing on the Slopes from your Ski-in/Ski-out Chalet Rental

The famous Palo Alto, which has set the pace of Megève nightlife for decades, has recently been replaced by the Rendez-vous Club, meaning that the resort has kept its nightclub. But keep in mind, clubbing in Megève also starts on the slopes, facing Mont-Blanc. “La Folie Douce” and its extravagant shows have taken over Mont-Joux. Not far from there, on the heights of Mont d’Arbois, “Chalet Sauvage” (Annie Famose Group) has replaced Les Mandarines with its winter cuisine and high-altitude club. In Demi-Quartier, next to the Princesse cable car mid-station and right next to the Magic Megève, Magic Megève Bois, Crazy and Apollo chalet rentals, “Tigrr Princesse” also offers fun-filled afternoons with a twist.

Festive and Memorable Nights in your Chalet or the Heart of Megève

There are plenty of opportunities, whether to celebrate a private event or to mark a special occasion. But what also makes Megève so charming and appealing are these places, far from the hustle and bustle of the village, where privacy is guaranteed. There are several private dining rooms and areas, while many of the Megève chalet rentals have professional kitchens, large entertainment areas, even a discotheque (Chalet Ultima, Chalet Sun Arbois), or pool areas that can be transformed into a nightclub (Chalet Dana, Chalet Jaguar) for memorable holiday nights in the privacy of a private residence.
