By commissioning internationally renowned designers to create the chalet’s structural elements, the floors and walls, and the bedrooms and living areas, they have succeeded in producing a ‘magical’ place as much as a luxury chalet rental. Everything here is a source of wonder, surprise and curiosity. Hundreds of works of art and artistic installations decorate the premises. A wealth of originality and eclecticism that nevertheless combine to create a sense of unity, from the sculptural staircase by Mike Nelson to the hypnotic lighting by Conrad Shawcross, not to mention the sculptures and installations by Antony Gormley and Darren Bader.
Art of Living and Contemporary Art
The conventions of the traditional chalet have been turned on their head here, but the highest standards of luxury and the art of mountain living have been respected. With its ski-in/ski-out location and living room with its cathedral ceiling overlooking the sharp peaks of the Aravis mountains, Chalet Magic Megève is just a few minutes’ drive from the hub of Megève, with its pedestrianised streets, bars and restaurants and excellent après-ski facilities. The 1,100m² surface area can accommodate up to 22 people in the 10 ensuite bedrooms. Each has its own artistic identity.
