An Unparalleled Ski Area and a Wide Range of Activities
Most of Courchevel 1850 can be reached on skis, whether from one of the resort’s many luxury hotels or one of the most exclusive chalet rentals in the Alps. The resort’s infrastructure and lifts are outstanding, so you can ski through the famous ‘3 Valleys’ that make up the ski area of the same name: Courchevel, Méribel and Les Ménuires/Val Thorens. Long runs groomed to perfection, countless mountain restaurants and experienced private ski instructors guarantee unforgettable skiing with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Most of the pistes are above 1,500m and rise to over 3,000m. Snow is guaranteed for a long ski season, from early December to late April. That’s 5 months of skiing in the heart of a truly legendary ski area with iconic peaks such as La Saulire, Mont Vallon, Cime Carron and Pointe de la Masse. All bordering Vanoise National Park, with Mont-Blanc looming in the distance. As well as skiing, Courchevel 1850 offers a wide range of activities. From the huge aquatic centre to the superb après-ski offer, not forgetting the whole spectrum of winter sports (dog sledding, tobogganing, ice skating, Nordic skiing, snowmobiling, etc.), you have everything you need for an unforgettable stay. What’s more, the resort also has a shopping scene worthy of an international capital.

For many years now, Courchevel has boasted some of the most prestigious chalets in the world, whose standards are constantly being raised by renowned architects and decorators. These chalets, most of which are available to rent, benefit from highly sought-after ski-in/ski-out access. Take Chalet Le Petit Palais, for example, with its 1,500 m2 of floor space spread over six floors, which can accommodate 14 people and is located right on the Bellecôte piste. This is undoubtedly one of the most exclusive chalets in the Alps. The hotels are on par with the level of excellence to be found in the chalet rentals in Courchevel. Several of the 5-star hotels here have earned the prestigious Palace distinction. There are five in Courchevel 1850, out of around thirty in France: Les Airelles, Cheval Blanc, Barrière des Neiges, K2 and Apogée. An unprecedented concentration that takes service and hospitality to new heights. Whether on the slopes or in the heart of the resort, gastronomy is also at the cutting edge. Many top chefs have joined Courchevel to offer their Michelin-starred cuisine: Yannick Alléno at Cheval Blanc (Restaurant 1947***), Sébastien Vauxion at K2 (Le Sarkara**), Sylvestre Wahid at Grandes Alpes (Le Sylvestre**), and Stéphane Buron with Le Chabichou**.
