Chalet Cascade is just a few minutes’ drive from the pedestrianised streets of Megève, one of the most exclusive ski resorts in the Alps, close to the Jaillet cable car and overlooking a cross-country ski run. It blends in perfectly with the surrounding scenery of snow-covered mountain pastures and old Savoyard farmhouses. On the hillside, this charmingly proportioned building of old wood and local stone enjoys a 180° view: from its vast terraces, complete with an outdoor dining area and living room, you can see the summit of Mont Blanc, the slopes of the ‘Evasion Mont Blanc’ ski area, the characteristic cirque of Côte 2000 and the Val d’Arly, where Megève and its hamlets are nestled.
Cosiness and Relaxed Luxury
From the basement to the second floor, all served by a lift, this luxury rental chalet spans 400m² and can accommodate up to 13 people (10 adults and 3 children). Sleeping arrangements are as follows: 4 ensuite bedrooms with WC and ensuite bathroom on the ground floor, and, on the second floor, a beautiful master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and dressing room, plus a children’s bedroom with three beds, bathroom, games area and television. As you might expect, the luxury here is relaxed and personal, overlooking the mountains. On the first floor, the bright and welcoming living area forms a large space with an open-plan kitchen, lounge with fireplace and delightful dining room.
It is surrounded by a spacious terrace with a Nordic bath and outdoor living area, and a very wide balcony where you can sit and enjoy the view of the mountains from breakfast to dinner, in winter and summer alike. The basement contains a two-car garage, a ski room with a boot dryer and a spa with an indoor pool, relaxation area, steam room and shower. Wool carpets, old wood cladding, bouclette seats, textiles and curtains in shades of white, cream and grey, vintage coffee tables and occasional furniture, and a stunning made-to-measure dining area: the wabi-sabi inspired décor is an ode to craftsmanship and natural materials.
